That particular control switch on most control panels or consoles which, when pushed, will disconnect all power from the computer system. Typically used for fires only since instantaneous removal of power from all system components can result in damage or alteration to electrical and mechanical parts, disk, or tape file.
(Normally, a system “power off" results in sequenced removal of power from components effected by timing circuits.)
