reference power supply

A stable power supply of constant voltage used to assist in improving the accuracy of the computer with voltage analog representation, i.e.,initial or limit conditions are derived directly from the reference supply, and voltages of other values or variables are measured as fractions of the reference supply, most often by potentiometers.
