A hardware interface between a control unit and a particular PROM. A typical personality module contains the specialized interfacing, power supplies,and programming instructions that are unique to the particular PROM or family of PROMs being programmed (pulse width, number of pulses, dutycycles, and threshold level). In many cases, a single module enables the user to program several types of PROMs.
